How to Prepare a Track for Mastering

Mastering Information

Preparation:

1.    Processing: disconnect all processing on a master output (EQ, compressor, limiter, maximizer and other)
2.    Master Output:
-3b (preferably -6db) to avoid clipping.
3.    Bit Depth: 24 bit, 32 bit (float).
4.    Sample Rate:
44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 96 kHz.
5.    Format: WAV, AIFF.
6.    Turnaround: 2 - 3 days.
